Github works well, but it ain't the problem. I'm not agree with the Microsoft practices because that company makes a lot of money making trash software and sells it as quality software, every new product is worst than preview, the performance is shit and the policies are trash. it's why github ain't the exception integrating a lot of trash features and github copilot is really bullshit, github uses the public repositories to train its ai models and sells it, and obviously it ain't in accordance with the free software ethical principles; over time codeberg has gained popularity, it's based on forgejo, it's open source (Github is not) and the usage feels free, has great features and codeberg is comfortable.
